About Oakwood

Oakwood Business Systems Ltd was formed in 1986 - primarily as a mainframe support company.

The technology at this time was largely DEC (Digital Equipment Corporation) running the VMS operating system. DEC was purchased by COMPAQ, COMPAQ was then bought by Hewlett Packard.

Whilst we still support customers using DEC equipment and the VMS operating system the recent trend has been toward Intel based hardware and Microsoft based operating systems and applications.
